HELLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
well, i'm back. so many things have happened since i first/last blogged (in a somewhat chronological order):
1. i finished my thesis! woohoo! i'm done! now i'm just waiting for the viva in september.
2. the london bombings happened. i was in the picadilly line at leicester square on my way to russell square when everything happened. it was crazy. glad that i weat want into london just a few minutes late that day.
3. i turned 26. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! i have moved permanently into another demographic. according to june rain, i'm still technically in my "mid-20s", which i guess is true. but still...it only seemed like yesterday that i graduated from high school AND college. yeeesh.
4. my friends have left. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! first it was ricky back in june. then allison left in july. and now sesto leaves on thursday. the year went by super fast, y'all. it really did seem like yesterday that we all met up at leicester square for the first time with june rain! wah wah wah (sound of crying)!!!
5. my mom came! that was fun! we went to paris and brussels, and just went around london. and now she leaves in the morning.
6. me and june rain went to watch guys and dolls, starring my man, ewan mcgregor. whooo! it was VERY good! sit down you're rockin da boat! i really want to see it again if i can.
7. i bought tickets to see my girl, gwen stefani, with the black eyed peas in concert in october at the arco arena in sacramento. it'll be a nice treat when i return. rox, rachel, and i are planning to also get tickets to see carlos santana in october. it'll be exciting! the only sad thing is not being able to see the giants! baaah! i wanted to catch a game before the season ended. maybe i can get some niner tickets instead.
8. hurricane katrina came around. i have mixed feelings about the whole situation. nodoubtedly (is that a word?), people need immediate help, regardless of how late aid came. but everything else that comes with the hurricane: bush, global warming, capitalism, social democracy, racism, the american dream, etc...i just feel that it is extremely easy to just sit back and criticize the situation without offering any real, constructive solutions to any of the problems.
well let's not get any deeper than that.
it's great to be doing nothing! well, i'm not completely free. i still gotta work on my resume, get my stuff packed and shipped, and wait for my sister to come. so i guess i'll still be busy.
